SSSS Sailboat Maintenance 101 Course: Electrical – 1/24/2022
Beginning on January 24th, the South Sound Sailing Society will be offering a series of Zoom sessions on basic-level Sailboat Maintenance. It will be designed for new boat owners and those of us who have owned sailboats for years but want to learn more about keeping our boat afloat and the systems working.
The first session will be on January 24, 7:00 – 9:00 pm, and will cover Electrical systems installation, replacement, and troubleshooting (batteries, wiring, connectors). The session will be presented by Mike Beemer, Chair of the Skagit Valley Marine Technology Program in Anacortes, and a frequent presenter in “Cruiser College” at the Seattle Boat Show and at Skagit Valley College. The registration link was e-mailed to members on 1/13/2022.
There will not be a fee to participate in these Zoom Sessions, but you must be a SSSS or OYC member to participate. If you are not a member of SSSS, or if your dues are not up-to-date, go to ssssclub.com and register or re-new for $55.
The other Zoom sessions will be on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 pm, on the following dates: February 7 & 28; and March 7 & 14.
An email will be sent to members with the Zoom registration links and topics. Put the dates on your calendar and await further information.
If you think these sessions would be beneficial to you, we hope you will join us.
