The Olympia Yacht Club invites SSSS to participate in the annual Parade of Lighted Ships to get the holiday season off to a good start. The parade starts at 6 PM on
Saturday, December 7. This is a beloved community event on Percival Landing and all along the Budd Inlet shoreline. This year’s parade theme is “Baking Spirits Bright” (think gingerbread houses, cookies, fruit cakes (ugh), or maybe even the Pillsbury Doughboy). For the judges’ and shoreside viewing, decorations need to be on the starboard side of the boat if you don’t decorate the entire boat. If you wish to decorate your boat and enter it in the parade, please register using the QR code on the flier (attached below).

For Questions, please contact: Fleet Captain Power Mike Reynolds at . Please be sure to fill in all the requested information so that we can be sure to get you the information you need. We’ll be excited to see your illumination magic!

There are two dates participants need to attend:

Captains’ Meeting, Friday, December 6, 2024, 5:30 p.m., OYC Main Station, 201 Simmons St NW. Important information will be covered starting promptly at 5:30 and paperwork handed out that is required to participate in the parade. OYC will be hosting a TGIF as well and you’re invited to join us! A pizza and salad dinner will be $10 per person, cash at the door, and our Burgee Bar will be open. Beverage cards will be available for purchase with cash or credit card. Parking is available in the lot immediately adjacent to Fourth Ave.

Parade of Lighted Ships, Saturday, December 7, 2024, 6:00 p.m.
For Captains and crew. Complete details about where to line up, judge boat location and more will be covered at Friday night’s Captains’ meeting. Ho, ho, ho!
