201 Simmons St NW
The daylight hours are gray, the days short, and the forecast is for another week of rain. Time to get the SAD light out, get more exercise, and – most importantly – begin getting your sailboat ready for spring and summer sailing adventures!
The South Sound Sailing Society’s February General meeting on February 13 will provide our members and guests with an opportunity to explore a variety of sailboat maintenance and repair topics and learn an essential sailing skill or two. Topics currently under consideration include: Painting your bottom; How to reclaim your boat’s former gel coat glory; Outboard motor selection, maintenance, and repair; Diesel Maintenance; Sailboat electronics; Sailboat rigging; Who can help teach me to sail; and more.
We will have individual tables for each topic and three 25-minute sessions.
The meeting will be in-person at the Olympia Yacht Club located at 201 Simmons St. NW.
Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the meeting will begin at 7:00 pm. The meeting is open to both members and non-members, so invite your crew, dock mates, neighbors, and others who are interested in sailing.
